Anyone know what one ton mastercylinder will bolt to my '72 Blazer? And also said part number?

I have a CUCV D60 up front and a 14bFF in the rear.

I want to go hydroboost but money is in short supply for my rig.

Thanks guys.

I don't have part # with me but I recommend not only a 1Ton Master but the Booster also. That is were your REAL brakeing power is:

Here is my setup:
Just went to Napa and got 72 1Ton Master/Booster combo. The P-valve is the same but I did have to buy new lines from the master to the p-valve as the 1Ton master plumbs opposite of the 1/2 ton master. I got new lines from inlinetube.com for like 25bucks and they fit perfect!
Hope this helps

So regardless, I should replace my booster as well? Because the one ton booster is bigger than the 1/2 ton?

And thanks for the heads up on the P-valve lines and the pic!

Yes, the 1ton booster is a "double diaphram" were the 1/2 ton is a single. All I know is when I swaped in the bigger booster/master combo I was finnaly able to lock up all 4 35"SSRs ON PAVEMENT, never before was I able to do that, only in the dirt could I get a tire or two to lock when slamming the brakes! Night & Day!

Cool!

Thanks for the info!

Great topic guys! Just what I was looking for. Can you give me more info on this swap, Burt4x4? Any clearance problems? Not planning on going w/big block, but do want to go 1 ton setup. Whoohoo!

i should pay attention to this thread as well. I'm now running all 3/4 ton 4wheel disc brakes and 42" Iroks with my 1/2 ton PBB and i can't lock up at all. Stops ok, but is still dangerous a wee bit.

No clearance iisues/changes..it does stick out a bit farther cuz the booster is thicker. Oh ya I did have to modify the lower support rod that mounts to the mastercylinder mounting bolt. I added some spacers were the rod mounts to the firewall to bring the rod out the same distance as the new booster.
other than the new lines from master to p-valve everything was the same and bolted right up.
The double booster works WAY WAY better than the single one.
