1 1/2 or 1 5/8 headers? benefits to each, full length or shortie?

1 5/8- 1 3/4 tubes. 1 1/2 were used to lower cost IMO. My be alright for a stock engine. Anything other than stock use the bigger tubes. Full-length is better if you can run them, but shorties are def. better than stock manifolds. Just depends on the application. Go with either Hedman elites, or the Doug's tri-y's.

What is the rest of your exhaust system. Header sizes means very lil if the rest of the system is either too big, too small or too restrictive. also what size collector. If the rest of your system is stock, it wont matter much and id go with whatever is cheaper.

I am about to buy a whole true dual system snd i was wondering what headers to get? Im also getting dynomax 2.25 tubes that go all the way back with flowmasters

I run long tube hedman headers and love em definitely go with the long tubes if you can. Mine are sorta close to the front shackle but clear fine.

nice yeah i want long tubes definetly otherwise ill keep the manifolds. i just want nice sounding exhaust and better performance and gas mileage as do all k5 owners i think lol
