1/2 ton calipers same as 3/4 ton???

Did a search, but didnt find what I was looking for. I have a 3/4 ton axle that I'm about to bolt up to my Jimmy and was wondering if the 1/2 ton calipers will work on the 3/4 ton axle?

3/4 ton is same just a bit bigger piston. i used my 1/2 tons on my old 3/4 swap . o.k. for me.

this is only part correct. the 3/4 with the 13" rear brakes had a bigger piston, the 3/4 ton with the 11" rear brakes have the same size pistons as the 1/2 ton.

Yes they are. I just installed them on a 3/4 ton setup.

they will all bolt up, but if you have a bigger piston and then go to 1/2 ton calipers you are losing braking power with the smaller piston
