I Have An 85 K5 Blazer With Gm 10 Bolt In The Rear. I Want To Beef Up My Rearend To 3/4 Ton With Plans Of Bigger Tires And More Hp. I Found A Gm 14 Bolt At A Junkyard It Is Possibly Out Of A Early 90's Truck. It Has 6 Lugs With Drum Brakes. From Measuring It (backplate To Backplate) It Appears To Be A Few Inches Shorter Than My 10 Bolt. Any Suggestions!!!!

How "big" of tires are we talking? If you`re trying to stay 6 lug, then a 14bsf is a good option. They can be had from 3/4ton suburbans and some p/us, but will come in 8 lug, and will need to be converted. If you don`t mind going to 8 lug, and are planning on running tires in the 37" and up range, then the 14bff can be had for fairly cheap. If you get one out of a 3/4 ton truck, it will bolt right up too.

Ask this question or do a search in the garage. This topic has been covered countless times. Your best bet would be to find a 8-lug 14-bolt out of 80's 3/4 ton. It will bolt right in can be found for under $250 at most junkyards. Then for the front, a Dana 60 or the less expensive Dana 44.

I Found A 6 Lug 3/4 Ton At A Junkyard Out Of A 90's Truck That The Guy Will Nearly Give To Me. But It Seems Like It Is Not As Wide As My 10 Bolt Will I Have To Use Spacers Or Should I Even Go With This Rearend. I Dont Plan On Going Any Bigger Than 35 Inch And Would Like To Stay 6 Lug. But I Want To Be Strong Enough To Not Be Breaking Axles..

If you measured from backing plate to backing plate, it might be narrower but did you measure from Wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface?
I know they are shorter but nothing much I think it's 1"
Those are actually really rare or at least get good prices, if you can get it really cheap and you don;t plan on going bigger than 35" that would be the best thing, you won't need to change much on your truck. Especially the front axle and all the wheels :D
