ordering my nice new Quincy compressor this week, so i'm thinking i might step up my line from the super soft, flexible, old, rubber 3/8 hose that i've had forever, to a 1/2" retractable reel setup,,,,

it's been many moons since i ran 1/2" line..... how much will it help on airhog tools? is the extra hose bulkiness noticable?

here's the unit I'm looking at...

or should i just stick with 3/8"? it is a fair amount cheaper for the reel...

edit.... doh, just realized i shoulda put this in the tool shed...... mods feel free to move if need be...

3/8 be fine.

1/2 = BIG tools requirement.

just makesure the inside is true 3/8 tho. some arnt.

the 1/2 is a lot heavyer also

cool ,much cheaper... even going with a high quality rubber hose...

i despise the cheesy stiff pvc stuff... i swear the rubber one i'm using is about 20 yrs old.... i'll keep it around for an extension for the portables at work...

I think the 3/8" would be fine...

Moved to the tool shed for ya.
