1\" add a leafs??

is there any drilling required to put them in the rear with a 14blt gm ff???

Re: 1\" add a leafs??

Not one bit. Just C-clamp your spring pack near the center pin, remove the old center pin and bolt in the 1" zero rate with a 1" longer center pin and your good to go /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Just curios, but wouldn't it be better to clamp the spring pack about 3" to each side of the center bolt to allow for the zero rate to go on easier? I haven't done mine yet, so don't know from experience.

Re: 1\" add a leafs??

Yeah, when I did mine, I actually used 2 c-clamps, one on each end of the shortest leaf /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Re: 1\" add a leafs??

what about putting them in the front??
do i have to drill??

Re: 1\" add a leafs??

The add-a-leaf zero rates come pre-drilled. But I've heard of people redrilling their spring packs to relocated their axles. I didn't, just just mounted mine in the normal spot.

Re: 1\" add a leafs??

No drilling, just bolting. I don't recommend drilling the spring pack to offset axles, the closer that hole gets to the edge of the pack the worse off you are. The old hole is just going to become a stress concentration point for the leaf to break.
