1 piece rear main seal

What year did the 1 piece rear main seal on the 6.2/6.5 start? I'm looking at an '87 6.2L for a rebuildable core but I want to pickup something with the 1 piece rear main to avoid problems if I have to replace the crank.

IIRC 92 was the crossover year. What problems are you referring to?

Do you know if they changed the flywheel at the crossover like they did on the small blocks?

Nope. Both engines use the same flywheel.
