im sure its been covered before but i searched and cant find it

if i put 1 tons under my 86 k5 will my master cylinder and brake booster need to be upgraded or will it be able to handle it?

everything i have read has mixed reviews. alot of people kept theirs and some switched them out. you might just need to install the brakes and judge it?

Edit: this was me assuming you were putting discs on the rear also. you should be fine, i didnt need to change anything on mine

You should be fine, especially if you're staying with drum brakes out back. It's usually when people start switchin to disc brakes that they sometimes have issues with brake hardware.

When I put disc brakes on my 14 bolt, I changed the combo valve and the MC.
