1 year, 4 months, and 17 days later :D

lol, no belts on it. I'm still looking for a set of 67-72 chevy truck accessory brackets. I can't use the factory V-Belt, and I want to get away from the Serpentine setup cause my heads arn't setup for them. They are missing holes etc, drilled a hole into my water jacket putting the bracket that is there on DOH

I'm planning to go back to V-belts for that reason, and also for the fact that if you toss a belt, you don't loose all your accessories in one fell swoop. Far cleaner looking too! To fix the hole in the head, I plan to locktite a bolt in, and grind it's head off.

This engine is not the engine I now plan to run in this truck. I want to build a brand new engine that is more suited for the EFI, then place this engine into my 89, and sell that truck. The proceeds from the 89 will build a heck of a nice engine for the 80 :D

I figure that is engine is about 200 horse. Its very lopey in this video, it should idle almost stock, just a hint of lope. The new engine will actually have less cam, and more way more torque + about 300 horse at the crank. Plus, if I wind up with a set of Aluminum L98 heads, boost is also a very good possiblity in the future :D

Congrats. :) Nice to get something running eh?

I like the battery mount. The passenger front corner is already overloaded with weight.:D Good mod LOL

Better weight distribution! But, a guy on the other forum mentioned that I'd need a cowl to keep it there, so I'll have to move it back to the stock mounting point :(

Actually, I just don't have my battery mount installed, that'll get changed today :)

I'm sure glad to see you got her running. That's a sweet vid and a nice looking motor. You've got skills bro.
