I was looking around for a winch when I see this 10k Warn winch for $500.

-Why does this cost so much less than the other Warn winches?

-Do you guys see anything about this particular winch that would make me want to steer away from it?

- What are your thoughts on Winch capacity and vehicle weight?
I figured I would want a winch capable to pull double the weight of the JIMMY.

-Do you guys have other recommendations?

You guys should know I value you opinions, now post em up!

-Thanks :waytogo:

Methinks they re-badged the Tabor series, though it looks like it carries the "real" Warn warrenty and not the Tabor shorter warrenty. Either way Im jazzed, been looking for a used m10000 to use with the Twizted Engineering Bumper and this price is what used go for. Im game.

Well WARN just released this series of winches to compete with the no brand or cheap winches. They likely HAD to do something. When someone is offering a 10K winch for 299 and theirs is 800+ they likely relized they were missing something. Or the old winches just had such a great profit margin that they could cheapen up a couple of little things and start doing this new line with out much warranty issues.

I'm guessing more of the new winch is CHINA parts and pieces or less diserable metals and electrics.

I have 4 WARN winches and will never get anything but WARN!

My guess is that it is made in a communist country from recycled scrap by workers that get paid $2 per day and live in a shack.

I run Warn winches and gladly pay a little extra for units that have most of the parts made in the USA and are assembled here too.

is it just me or is it the same color as that jeep? PURPLE
