I think I have a handle on what i need to convert my 10 bolt to 8 lug, but would like to know if this mod makes the wheels sit out further. I don't like the tires sticking out too far and would get wheels with a further inset to keep the tires under the fenders. I did a search but couldn't find the asnswer. Thanks.

WMS is actually 1" wider per side than the 6 lug stuff. its something like 67.5 for 6 lug, 69.5 for 8 lug. its on the ORD site...

I kinda thought it might be a little wider. My current six lug rims are 17x8s with 4.5" bs. I have a set of 17x8 8 lug alcoas and I think they have more back spacing and should work out well, but won't look as good as my slots.
