I would like to know which Parts from my 1987 10 bolt front will fit a 1977 dana 44 front, I do mean all parts if you guys know. The reason I want to know is, I have a A.R.B. for the dana 44 and 4.11 gears with a master install kit the 10 bolt that sits under the truck now is a 3.08. I have changed the rear to a 12 bolt with 4.11 and need to something for the front. I'm hoping the 10 bolt axel parts will fit so i can have an extra set of stuff. Also hoping I can run the 6 lug hubs from the 10 bolt for now. I plan I going to a 14 bolt down the road which is a 8 lug and so is the dana 44, the 12 bolt is only a 6 lug as well as the 10 bolt. I need to be able to drive thru the winter with this truck and then Once I swap out the 12 for the 14 I will be putting the 36" irok's on. Please help me figure out how to do this as cheap as possible!!!!!!!!

Search is good, yes. You'll find that the center section of a D44 and a 10 bolt are completely different, so in your case you'll want to be swapping the entire axle. Short answer: The knuckles out are interchangeable, but shafts in aren't.

Also if you can source some 76' or older 44 knuckels they can be set up for x-over steering. Useing the 10 bolt tie rod bar on the 44 knuckels will give you about 3'' of tie rod clearence. ;)

Why are you TTT'ng this? I'd already posted in the thing you asked before the only thing that will interchange are the things from the knuckles out and the stub shafts....that's all. Try the search, guy...
