10 bolt axle splines

I've got a 10 bolt 28 spline lockright for sale and a guy asked me if it would fit his front diff. He has a 79 3/4 ton. I saw a picture of his truck and it does have a front 10 bolt. I know the 1/2 ton would have 28 spline axles. Would the 3/4 have 28 or 30? I don't want to sell him something that won't work for him.

Mines an '84 3/4T, and it's still a 28spln. 8lug too, don't know if that helps or not.

28 spline until 1989 , 30 spline after . Some trucks from late 1988 to early 1989 could of had either depending on what was left and keeping the lines going .
