I have a buddy selling a set of 10 bolt 4.10 gears. I need them for the front. Is there a difference in front and rear 10 bolt gears ? Thanks!

If both 10 bolts are of the 8.5" variety (chevy trucks only used 8.5" ring gears) so yes they should work. 10 bolt gears are the same front and rear.
The only possible problem is if you have 2.56 gears in your truck. I have never seen anything lower then 2.73's. 2.73 is the carrier break so if you have any gears 2.73 or higher you are fine.

If its both from the same truck, get the front. Less mileage.
