Which kind to get. Strange engineering cone type or auburn clutch type? Or something else. I dotn think I want a locker up front, but I am going to be running chromo shafts, so I want something thats strong.

Sugestions?

I'm having a lot of luck with my Detroit Tru-Trac. They have a reputation for grenading with 37-and up tires. I'm running 35 claws and I abuse my truck pretty hard.

I wasn't sure if I wanted a locker up front either. For the price of a Lockright, and easy install, I figured I'd give it a shot.

My tune's changed... now only a locker will do. :D

I suggest you find a somebody that is willing to let you drive their front-locker'ed rig. Make sure to also drive it in 2wd with hubs locked & unlocked.

Then decide.

The lockright is a lunch-box thought, right? I thought the carrier would slit under hard conditions with a lunchbox locker. No? Ill end up running 36's off road, I just dont want the carrier to be the weak point.

I broke two carriers in my stock 10 bolt rear before upgrading to a auburn pro series. I think it also had a replacement program where if it broke they would send a new one for $70, But i never had to use it. I now have a 14 bolt rear and 44 front.
