10 Bolt Ring Gear

What size is the ring gear in out 10bolts?(85-K5)I was looking to replace mine and noticed there was 2 sizes for the 10bolt axles on some listings.I think a 7something and a 8something.Also what is a cheap replacement for the govlock and where can I get it?

Mine is 8.5You can get a Detroit trutrack for 400,I got my Eaton for 450.You may find some others cheaper.

7.5 or 7.85 or something like that goes into s-series trucks, maybe others. All full size is 8.5

A cheap replacement for the govlock, is Auburn Limited Slip, or
possibly a Lock-Right if they make it for a govlock carrier, if not
an open carrier will not break the bank. You can get them at any good
auto parts store, but to save a $$$$$$$$ mail order or the intrenet.
