Hey all, the 8 lug 10 bolt im putting in does not have the tapered studs that go in the knuckle like the 6 blot before. It is just the studs no tapering type washer. The raised steering arm I have uses the tapered version of the stud. Do I pull the studs from the 8lug and replace with the tapered version? Thanks for any info

Uhh ... something is wrong, like the 8-lug one you're putting in has a weird arm or something.

Every 10-bolt and D44 that I know of uses the same studs and cone washers, etc for the steering arm, including crossover and high steer arms, modified stock ones, etc.

There are some REALLY thick crossover arms that have LONGER studs, but still use the cone washers.

That said, the studs should be the same, except possibly for length, and yeah, you can mix-and-match... though I'm thinking that a new set is in order, unless your old ones are in really good condition.

Prolly only a GM dealer, or Trevor at WFO has 'em.

Dealer cones are way expensive. Sourced from someone else would be good. If you're parts are rusty (old), you'll need new cones. Good luck getting the old ones out (AMHIK). :haha:

cool called wfo and spoke with Trevor. Mind you I called at 530 pm he was still there got my order out last night by ups and I will be getting them today. I must say Im very impressed with this kind of service and will be giving him my business in the future

Yeah, he's a good guy, and he's close enough (and late enough on his UPS driver's route =)) that you can get your stuff in 24 hours... I got all my crossover stuff from him. :deal:
