So..ben working on my axle here and there (among other projects) and found I've got 10 degrees of caster dialed in...recommended specs say 4-8*... Without using a shim, how might one go and fix this?

need more info on parts in front like springs and hangers / shackles / and if shims already on lift springs .

4in lift springs, no shims, factory shackles and front hangars. Nothing special, though thinking about the b52 setup in the future

WITHOUT a shim? Maybe redrill your front spring hanger a tad lower... (you could shorten the shackle but they generally are too short already)

Yea it's still the factory shackle, so not much wiggle room there. Hadn't thought about redrilling the front hangar.

Yes, no shims right now. Pinion angle looks fine too...

Just thought about this.... I have rough country springs (I know, don't judge me). They *seem to be equal length either side of the center pin, though when I put them in I did not measure.

What are the chances the springs are backwards?

Could be backwards but I doubt it. Is the weight of the truck on the springs, 10 degrees is on the high side and not really desirable for the street but on dirt it will be nice.

I'm sitting right at 9* caster and has been like this for 10 years and drives excellent on the street.

Yeah, that's ith the full weight of the truck on the springs...

It's not terrible on the street up til about 40-45....just feels really sloppy from there

how are you measuring caster? There are replacement lower caps that can get a couple degrees.

Mmm, not sure what you mean by that...I can get you the frame angle if necessary.

I put my finder on the floor underneath the knuckle, then on the knuckle and subtracted floor from axle numbers to get 10*
