Ok i just bought my first 10 meter radio and i need help. I know i need to get my liscense, but i need to figure out what im doin on the radio too. I bought a new cobra 200 gtl dx that has been converted. I need to know EVERYTHING. All i have ever messed with is just a regular 40 channel cb. I need to know about sideband and all the other stuff!

Stay in 11 meter till you can get your ticket. Try lower 38. 27.3850 . There's usely traffic on lower 38 in the evening. Use the claffifier too tune them in. Key up and start talking. Only way too learn is by talking on it.

I dont really plan on using the 10 meter part very much at all. So not using it till im legal is not a problem.

I mainly bought the radio for the sideband and the power.
Low side power was 2watt dk and swings to 85
high side was 38 watt dk and swings to 165
