In the middle of my 1 ton swao and in desperate need of tires, My mismatched radial and bias BFG M/t 35s with varying life left will not make the grade im looking into buying a set of tires and lots have been talking about the 100 dollar man. The price is right , 100 bucks per tire and 180 to ship all 4 to me . Decision time is near but in need of some input. Goodyear hummer 36x12.5 16.5 bias or the goodyear wrangler radials37x12.5 16.5. The truck does see a 70 mile commute sometimes 3 days a week. Road noise not a concearn, traction is .I have plenty of clearance and gearing for either set. I live near lots of rocky trails and its where most of my wheeling is done
Who is running either, advantages/dis-advantages

If it was me it get the 37s since they are radial, they seem to balance good and be a decent tire. The 36s i would only buy if they were super cheap, you would be mory happy in my opinion with the 37s but matbe someone here has more imput on it......

I ordered a set of the 37" hummer tires from 406yj on pirate 4x4.com he is selling them for $75 each and shipping of 4 is about $146 flat rate. Those 36" bias hummer tires are junk. They are more square then round and they aren't too good off-road either

I love my 37s have a year on them. Wear good lasting pretty long. Looking to buy 8 more. I keep thinking about swampers but these are just so cheap.

I just bought a few 37" radials from Hundy a week or so ago, I love them! I'll be going back for some more soon when I get some more cash. He is a really good dude to work with.
Hope that helps

One more for radials. Put them on a customers 4x4 van, they work very very well

I have been looking for a long time to find something with a 15" 8 lug wheel but these 37's are so cheap that I might have to go with them.

Awesome testimonials, thanks gentlemen. I already have 16.5 wheels but for the price of recentered H1's i may just go that route, and sell off my weld typhoons and the bfgs. I think for sure ill hit up 406yj, he seems to have it together just as the 100$man does. Is there some huge advantage getting 12 bolt over 8 bolt hummers?Aside from more bolts to clamp it down

The 12-bolt is rated for higher air pressure. 8-bolts are only good for 30psi (which is more than I usually run anyway). The Hummer wheels kept getting higher weight ratings because they keep making the vehicles heavier, but really any of them are OK for 1/2-ton or 3/4-ton trucks. The 12-bolt has a little stronger outer lip. The 8-bolt is lighter.

The 8 bolt came with the WMS on the main shell of the rim. The 12-bolt came with the WMS on the outside ring of the wheel. So when you recenter an 8-bolt you are just recentering. When you recenter a 12-bolt, you are changing the design of the wheel.

Beadlocks are not illegal, never have been, that's a myth.

As for the tires, if you want performance, the 37" radials are not it. They are super hard and from my experience with them they're one of the worst tires you could run offroad.

But they are cheap.
