$100K Blazer

It's all the crack hidden under those pristine carpets:smokin2: Love the pimpin' 8-track, and it doesn't even have A/C:rolleyes:

Hmm, the interior is orange.

Ever notice how on the backside of the door panels that there are different colors listed with different part numbers? Orange is one of them, but I didn't know any actually were made... until now that is.

$100k "invested" - good luck making back 10 cents on the $ - maybe time to find a new broker? :D

It's probably just me, but anytime I get to read that someone has money "invested" in a truck, it cracks me up...:p:

I guess I never thought about how much money in labor I save working on my own stuff. I've been doing it so long I don't even remember the last time I paid for anything but a smog. I'm guessing I probably saved at least $100,000 over the past 10 years with all the projects I've had. I was into rice rockets for a while, sport bikes for a long time and I've been messing with 4wd Trucks for 12 years. It adds up after a while.

if you pay for all the labor its not hard to add up to a 100k pretty darn quick. Really easy if the shop you are using is close to a 100 bucks an hour. I bet someone at the shop he had the work done at saw him coming.

I work at a resto shop and can tell you thats NOT 100k worth of work by any means. We do frame off vettes for $75,000 all day long with parts. Thats a load of BS.

And if thats a 100k motor I'd like to know how. Forged bottom end $2000, Machine work $1000, Good heads $1500, Blower $3500. So ughh hmmm...

Titanium bottom end $10,000, NASA contracted machine work $20,000, Hand-cast heads by a Ferrari tech $7000, makes the blower seem cheap.;)

I'll have about 30 to 40 g's cash in mine, when done.... and probably 2 to 3000 hrs of labor...

do that math at 50 to $100 an hr.... :doah::haha:

the dude needs to put the crack pipe away and turn off the damn barret jackson auction.

And ditch that ugly ass front bumper and 79 headlight bezels.

I think Ill keep my crappy old beaters, slightly easier on the budget, and no big deal if I cave a door in while out in the woods.

Between the buying mine new in 1986, lifted 2 days later. then all the other changes (axles, motors, tanny, 205 transfer case, wheels, tires, ect.) over the first 5yrs. I know I spent about 45 to 50k with no labor cost. So by the time I'm done with this rebuid, who knows what I will have spent in 24 yrs on my K5. Don't really care but sure gald I still own it all these years later.:D:D:D
