10bolt to d44 question

Will front calipers, pads and locking hubs from a 10bolt fit on a front d44?

Yep. 10b's and D44's are the same from the knuckle out... now, there are a coupla flavours of spindles and such ... but the parts you mention should cross right over.

the calipers are slightly different, but they should work on either axle, considering the caliper mounting brackets are the same. also, the brake line fitting is different.

Crap! I forgot about the damn plumbing ... IIRC, later D44's had the other style caliper too. Anyway, the caliper will physically fit, but you may have hose issues, yes.

When I swapped the D44 in to replace the 10bolt, we had to swap the caliper brackets. The 10bolt calipers didn't seem to want to fit the D44 caliper bracket. It's no biggy, though.

This was a D44 from a 76 blazer.

To get my 10 bolt calipers to fit on my D44 I had to grind off a molding tab on the bottom of the caliper. After that, they bolted right up. :D
