HAS ANY BODY DONE ONE OF THESE? i AM PUTTING IT UNDER MY 72 BURB.. MY MAIN ?? IS ABOUT THE BRAKES BOTH THE E-BRAKE AND THE DUAL PISTON :pimp: DISCS AND HOW THEY INTERFACE W/ THE DISC/ DRUM MASTER...

i thought about doing it at work but they decided that having one in a k-5 would not be worth there time. I actually worked for the summer in the engineering department at the plant where the 11.5 AAM is produced so i should be able to answer most of the product questions that you would have

I Have Seen And Done The 14boltff In My Buggy But I Got A Sceamin Deal On This Axle $700 For Complete Rebuild W/gov Lock And New 4.56 Gears And The Disc Setup Was Alredy There

yea thats not a bad price at all for that beast of a axle. what year truck is it out of? Post up some pics of it and i should be able to help you out more knowing what model of axle it is. also are you sure that it is 4.56 gears becasue i do not think that that ratio is made for the GM 11.5 only 3.73 4.10 and 4.60 for the workhorse axle

you may be right but i bought it from a local axle place and he swapped in the gears... I asked for 4.56's and he claimed that was what he was running in his dually. I think it came from an 03' or newer

my main ??? is how to set up the master cylinder to work with the new discs.... I have talked to three people and got as many answers

i would get the master cylinder out of a newer truck and put a adjustible proporting valve in there

as in the hydro setup or a new dual disc vaccum unit? the other issue is it is at the spring shop as we speak and I need to go to work on Friday.... plus the lift is already dingin the ol' wallet bad enough

if you have a vaccum booster get a dual disk vaccum unit it should not be to bad, if you are tight on cash you could run it as is but you may lock the rear tires up and not have that good of braking
