Been a while but in stock form which taper is the hole set to accept the TRE or DRE? I can't remember and don't feel like searching. Need to know which end is stock taper so I can order the same taper for a crossover arm.

from what i have found playing with our stuff and some s-10 4x4 and even a 67 c-60 with a napco 4x4 kit and an 82 2wd c-60 there all the same tapper . its just how far you set the depth . and also do you have a min thickness on the part .

https://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/REAM.html i got this to do a few jobs and its worked great each time . best to use on a mill or a BIG boy drill with a dam good chuck .

ruffstuff also has a LOT of his steering ends listed with the exact tapper min/max size on them . good place to look around for the info you might need .

Bought mine from DIY4X. Got the whole kit. I wanna say neither will fit, since fits Ferds....

I'm looking at purchasing this arm from WFO: https://www.wfoconcepts.com/pr/Dana-44-10-Bolt-Forged-Cross-Over-Arm-2-Tall/3163/3168/3461/3709

It asks to choose from a TRE or DRE hence the reason I don't know which to choose from as I have a stock unmodified 1104 arm. I don't want to do anything to it but get the RE that will bolt and go.
Now when you say the depth of the taper is one setting the RE deeper than the other? I want to choose one that's not so deep the boot is pinched tight.

I think that’s the arm I’m running on Sancho which was purchased as a crossover kit. I can look for my invoice for part numbers and provide photos if that helps.

Tie rod ends use 1 size tappered hole / depth .

Drag links use a different depth hole .

Also each one has working angle limits . So you need to know your min / max working angles . Also straight drag link tube or bent as this can help with angles .

If me and you dont have all the parts yet i would buy a kit for your parts combo and lift height. If they know what arm you have you can prob get it with out and save some cash .

Otherwise read up and get the right ends for angles or risk a joint blow out .

Grab a mic and measure your hole on the arm and you will know 100% what you have to work with .
