a buddy grenaded his Ubolt "keepers" the other day and now needs a new 12 bolt yoke....where can I find him one? I dont think my old 10 bolt yoke will work. Any ideas?

Actually there is quite a bit of interchange on these.

I had a 12 bolt yoke from the 70's on my 80's 10 bolt, but they use different u-joints, so I needed one of the adapter joints.

On certain gearsets , I heard a car 12 bolt yoke fits , but I haven't tried one . If its 30 spline pinion I'd be inclined to think so .

Also there are 1350 yokes out there , I got one on a 12bolt I believe came off a truck with a sm465 .

The other 12 bolt I have is only 1310 yoke .

12 bolt car ones fit..

I put a yoke off a 69 Camaro 12 bolt on my 72 K5's 12 bolt rear when I stripped out the splines on the original--they were slightly different in appearance, but used the same u-joint and it fit and worked fine..I never tried a 10 bolt yoke on a 12 bolt or vise versa, not sure if any intechancge..

I haven't tried the 10 on a 12 either , but the retaining bolt is different . 1 1/4 socket for 10 bolt , 1 1/8 socket for 12 bolt .

I simply bought a Neapco Ubolt style retainer yoke for my 12 bolt because i kept spitting off the stupid ass strap style retainers

I bought out of a drivetrain place in Cali, I'm thinking it was driveline service of Fresno

72 buck shipped to my door

You can swap 10 bolt and 12 bolt yokes. The biggest difference is the seal protector.

If you need to stay 1310 you can use a front 10 bolt yoke. If you want to go S44 you can use a rear 10 bolt yoke.
