i just put 12" of lift front and rear on my truck. just wanted to see the set up you guys have. do you need a sye to do a cv style? and i have a 87 blazer it has a 700r and a np 208 how far can you clock the front axel? do i have to grind the skid plate to stop the drive shaft from hitting it at full droup?

LWB Truck, SWB Truck, or K5?

A CV will be required on the rear plus turning the pinion up to point at the case.

No you can run a CV with a slip yoke, but the extra length is nice with the SYE plus its stronger.

The front I imagine you are going to have to cut and turn the inner C's to get the pinion up plus drop some $$ on a CV capable of running at that angle.

Upgrading to a U-joint like 1410 at the pinions wouldn't hurt either for the greater angle capability.

12" on a blazer is alot of lift. lets see some pics

Well I have never bought new from Highangle, but I would say a reasonable guess is $1000 to $1500. :dunno: I have half that in mine and they were used and aren't anything real fancy. Just a long slip CV up front and a 1350 CV rear.

Not to profile but I see two things, you're from Florida so I'd assume it's a mud truck and you said 12" so I'm assuming it's a 12" Superlift kit. Those springs are so dang stiff nothing is going to move around.
I ran an 8" Superlift with a lengthened rear stock shaft in my short bed K10 and it has the same drivetrain as your blazer does.

My point is if this is a tow it to the mud hole and blast through the goopey stuff truck I'd start by lengthening the rear shaft and correcting pinion angle with some steel shims from DIY4X.
As for the front notch the crossmember so the shaft doesn't rub and build your own square tube shaft or search used for a longer shaft before you go spending $1500+ on custom shafts.
