12SI alt replacement?

AFAIK, my '82 is using a 3 wire 10SI alt...

Can I replace it with a 12SI? Found one at a good price.

130amp $150. new not remanufactured.
How much for shipping to 24019?

Ill take it, but can I pay you in 2 weeks? (Next paycheck?) Im spending money I dont have to get an Astro van I dont need right now. :confused: (Converting it into a camper, dont ask... :popcorn:)

I wonder if mine is a 22SI too
It looks the same and it was remanufactured and supposedly uped to 135amp, I am going to take a look at it.

You can tell by looking at the fan of the two units easily from the front:

That sir, is damn near the extent of my alternator expertise! HA HA!

I know that much, it's the 22SI I am not familiar with:D
I have 12 of each sitting on my shelves I was looking at them today, trying to clean up so i will be testing and throwing.:doah:

the 22si I got was OEM on a Series60 genset. I was going to upgrade the Alt on my 12v cummins with it. But I found a 160amp Leese-neville instead.
