ok so i think i am going to need a new driveshaft and was wondering if anything came stock with a 1350 slip yoke that will work with a 241?

i don't want to spend a lot of money on a custom rear shaft with a new slip yoke when i am going with a doubler within a year. so i need to find a 1350 slip yoke in the junkyard. what should i look for?

i am picking up some 3 inch dshaft tube for cheap and i already have 1 1350 weld on yoke and was going to pick up another with a slip yoke at the junk yard.

i have a 241 in my 89 k5 and am in the middle of a 60/14 swap and just don't want to spend money on a custom shaft when i can make mine way cheaper and its not going to hit highway speeds and i dont want a sye since i will be doing a 241/205 doubler.

You need to be looking for a TH400 Yoke in the 1350 variety since it is a 32 spline and the same OD as the NP241. You need to make sure the length is the same though as TH400 used a multitude of different length Yokes.

I think the '96, 3500 we have in the shop has a 1350 behind the 241. Not 100% on that but sure looked like one.

Ill find put tomorrow for you. I have a slip yoke from a newer 1 ton chevy and I tried it in the back of my 208 for the hell of it and it fit fine. But will need to try into a 241 to verify.

Most if not all of the slip yokes GM used in there transfer cases are interchangeable. I ran a 1410 slip yoke out of a 2003 NV261 in a NP205 with a slip yoke. Any NP208, Np205, NP261, Np263 will interchange. 1980-1987 (except 1980 K10) NP205 will have the slip yoke and the 1350 yoke. 1981-1987 3/4 ton and M1008 M1010 and M1028 with the Np 208 will have the 1350 yoke. 1988-2000 K2500 with the NV241 will have the 1350 yoke.

2001 and newer will interchange but most are 1410.

Crew cabs and cab and chassis will most likely have fixed yokes and will not work.

I think something is different about the spline on a TH400 and the transfer case output spline. I think it is the slope cut into the splines.

today i put a spicer (Pt#c3-3-919) in the tail of a 241 and it worked perfectly. But this is a 1410 yoke size

As stated in the one post above a 1350 yoke that will work is a very common factory available part found in most 3/4 to 1 ton trucks going back into the early 80's. If you need something temporary and on the cheap just pick up a complete rear shaft from a 3/4 ton pickup or Sub and have it shortened as needed by the local driveshaft shop. This is exactly what I did and have been running it for years. No need to buy new yokes and tubing for something like this.
