Is a 1410 u-joint really necessary? Is a 1350 going to bust under the strain.

39.5" Iroks, D60 and 14 bolt with 4.56 gears, 350 SB pushing ~325 HP, 700R4, NP241.

Getting H.A.D. shafts with 1350 CVs but trying to decide what to run at the axle ends. :)

1350 are fine.
The only reason to use a 1410 is to get more operating angle. If you need angle you need a 1410.

I run the same basic setup as you. Smaller HP motor but I have 5:13 and doubler and I can do crazy stupid things with tires bound up and not break stuff.

what he said. They are almost identical with respect to strength... but the 1410 can operate at a great angle. I have 1410 on my D60 pinion. It will prolly come in handy when I run the 52" springs and long shackles...

plus with 1410 you can get u bolts instead of straps, that the main reason i want to do 1410
