14 b ff outer bearing snap ring

Any tricks on removing this?

Normal snap ring pliers aren't working, this ring is a beast!

long needle nose plyers with good teeth .

drive the race down in a hair to take the tentsion off .

then on re assemble snap ring in and drive the race to the snap ring .

Thanks Sweetk30, good tip on the race. Gotta b pinching that ring cuz it's locked in, won't even flex

o they do pinch in .

watch the snap ring its a big boy and will go flying if your not ready for it .

Tapped the race, came right out with regular needlenose pliers!

And also flew across the garage, lol

I broke one once because I didn't tap it in... that was a botch to remove after that.

Don’t forget when you reinstall to drive the race back against the snap ring. If you don’t the race will move under vehicle pressure causing the axle nut torque to loosen.
