Looking to swap my 10 bolt rear axle to 14 bolt...again on my silverado

what I need to know is: Can a 3.42 gear be put on a 4.10 carrier?

unless i can somehow make my 10 bolt survive....This is my second 10 bolt in 4 years.

and one this particular axle its my 3rd cover (cant get them to stop leaking and yes my vent is clear) and the brake (side to side) bias is off, one locks up and the other doesnt but both work fine under speed..

if its able to make liveable, a disc brake conversion?

Scored a 14BFF for $150 delivered

Best disc brake conversion for the 14 BFF for the money?

personal preference for the diy4x kit, I have it, two of my friends have it as well. No need for spacers, it's bent and gusseted

How do you think they compare to ORD's bracket kit. Have had theres before with good luck. Going to try to find elderado calipers this time though.

Any fitment issues with the caliper? Do they work just as well with the 3/4 ton 8 lug rotor?

So with these brake calipers...

Am I correct for the calipers needing to be 1978 cadillac elderado rear calipers for the e-brake?

these fit the 8 lug rotors?

obviously would use the Elderado pads and hardware?

what would I use for E-brake cables?

(this is for a 2005 silverado 1500)

that was good info even though it wasnt for a 14 bolt. same theory though..

any ideas for the limited amount of space for the e-brake assembly and the brake lines?

The last one i had done had very limited space (like 2-3 inches) between the caliper and the leaf springs?

Maybe I should ask the guys at DIY4X or ORD about the application? I had to move the calipers (without an ebrake setup) down to the 6 o'clock position cause of lack of room...

The axle is a single wheel 14BFF
