14 bolt and 15\" rims

15" rims will fit over the drums of a 14ff wont they?? I want to order my tires and rims tomorrow.

Re: 14 bolt and 15\" rims

Yep. But you will have to grind the front calipers on a D44, 10 bolt, or D60 to get them to fit. Not a real big deal though.

Re: 14 bolt and 15\" rims

even on the 44 huh? I dont think I will have a problem with that. Have you ever just had real good luck?? I picked up this Blazer 800 bones great shape d44 and 14ff for 200bones so I am in it for 1K just needs rotors and calipers and brakes now. God life is good

Re: 14 bolt and 15\" rims

I wouldnt even think about aluminum on a trail rig. Great point thank.

Re: 14 bolt and 15\" rims

I'm running 3.5" of back spacing and had to do just a little bit of grinding. I have seen the amount of grinding that it takes to fit 4.125" or 4.25" of backspacing and it scares me! The less backspacing the better IMO.

Re: 14 bolt and 15\" rims

Are you sure on a 10b you have to grind? I have 15" rims on mine and never grinded a thing and neither did the previous owner...

Re: 14 bolt and 15\" rims

They fit. I have 15x10 with 4 1/8" backspacing on mine. It took alot of grinding on the D60 but the 14ff they fit with no problem.

Re: 14 bolt and 15\" rims

Steph, I think Hossbaby was referring to fitting 15" rims on 3/4 ton axles. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Re: 14 bolt and 15\" rims

Yeah Steph, He's talking about 3/4 ton 10 bolts./forums/images/icons/wink.gif/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Re: 14 bolt and 15\" rims

I have 15x10 Rockcrawler Steel wheels with 2.5" backspacing. I only had to remove about 1/8" on the caliper where it meets the wheel. They work great.

Re: 14 bolt and 15\" rims

Makes sense but he didn't say 3/4 ton so how was I to know what exactly he meant? /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Re: 14 bolt and 15\" rims

LMAO!! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Well, the way I saw it...read the subject title..."14 bolt and 15" rims" makes it obvious he is talking about the 3/4 ton axles here. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
