Building!
So I've got a D60/14FF
Both axles are geared at 4.56. I have a SM465 and really don't wanna run 37's so I'm looking at 4.10 R&P for both axles to be able to run 35's at a near stock comparison.
I know the carrier for 4.10 and 4.56 in the 14FF is different but I have verified that I have a Detroit locker in the 14FF, does the Detroit have a gear split too or can the Detroit that currently in there with the 4.56's be used with 4.10's?
D60 is open, can the 4.56 carrier be used with 4.10's or do I need a new carrier? Are the spider gears different between 4.56 and 4.10... new carrier + old spider gears? If the 4.56 carrier is able to be used does it reduce strength, is it less beefy than the 4.10 gears? The reason I ask this is because from my understanding the lower the number on the R&P the more meat there is.
