I chipped gears out of my stock 10 bolt, my truck is a 88 4x4 k5 blazer i know somone with a 88 4x4 pickup with new body style, it has a 14 bolt 6 lug. Will this axle fit in my truck and will i be able to use my 15 inch wheels. If you know of somthing that will give me trouble please let me know.

Thanks A.J.

will my 15 inch wheels clear over the 14 bolt drums or would i have a problem there.

Your wheels will fit, but you will need to move the spring perches and shock mounts. Also a conversion u-joint, IIRC

I'm pretty sure 3/4 and 1/2 ton perches are the same. 1 tons are a little different. The SF 14 bolt should have the same distance perches. Shock mounts may be different but that is pretty minor.

where can i get a u-joint convertion and what does it consist of

The SF 14 bolt you are talking about swapping in uses a 1330 u-joint. Your current setup uses a 1310 u-joint. Instead of replacing part of your driveshaft, they make a "conversion" u-joint. Two of the caps are the 1310 size and two are the 1330 size. Just replace your lower u-joint with that conversion u-joint and you will be good.

im in the same boat as u and napa carries a 1310/1350 u-joint which is what u need. its $30 nvm im thinkin about the 14bolt ff im gettin sometime this week hopefully.

The 14 bolt is out of a nbs truck, the mounts are MUCH wider. The spring perches do need to be moved. NO 6 lug 14 bolts are bolt in.

hey thanks for all the help and info i appreciate it all, i may have some more questions later thanks again. if anuy one has any thing ealse to say i will still be reading up thanks agian. A.J.
