14 bolt carrier??'s

so i read the billivista tech article, and i noticed that the P/N for the carriers were the same regardless of the year,
so does this mean that i can find a 89 or newer axle to put in the blazer and re-use my carrier and hubs, and all i would need is the newer style bearings?

i have a gov-bom from a late 90s ck truck that was put in a 70s axle with 70s bearings and then now is in a 88-up hd axle. all with no problems. go figure

cool thats what i thought there was no specfic P/N for eaither year so i thought it would fit
