What diff covers are you guys running on your rigs. I would like to see some pictures of the covers you guys have also. Also does anyone know of anyone who plates the covers like 4x4iron used to. I would like to not spend a lot of money on my cover but have a strong cover. Here is a picture of the ORD rig with a cover like what I want.

I have a stock cover, but when I upgrade, I'm so going with Kid Jethro's cover :bow:

I was actually just looking at that cover. I like it a whole lot. Its a nice cover im just trying to see what I can get for cheaper. If nothing I dont know what I will do.
 
i think i saw the exact same thing u originally posted for sale on pirate. ill look now

well i went through the first 10pages, cant find them. it sucks the search si down on pirate. it might have been a week ro two ago, but i saw one jus like that

I really doubt it. Stock pans are relatively thin/flimsy junk. Not much point in trying to upgrade one. There is diff protection that bolts on over the existing pan, and its fine... but personally I think its a lot easier dealing with just a HD cover. I used to have the kind that uses a ring + some round-stock bent/welded to the ring for protection. It was fine, but when changing diff oil and such it was kinda a pita.

I dont want one like you are talking about. Im just trying not to fork over a arm and a leg. Im a broke college student and its going to be all I can do to get the axels under the truck.

usually the ones that use the stock cover are home made. If you donw have a torch/welder. Try this:

Cut out the "armor" that you want to add to the stock cover, out of cardboard, and then lay it against the cover until it fits right etc. then take it to a shop or friend and see if they can weld it up for you, out of some scrap plate they have laying around. maybe a highschool welding/shop calss would do it for cheap.

Anyway, just a thought

too lazy + too poor = nothing good will ever happen to your rig...

I run GLO covers front and rear. They are great gear.
