so I’ve got my axel in brakes in but I’m having issues as far as fluid to the calipers it’s like dribbling out . I’ve read a few other posts about bleeding the proportion valve has anyone had this issue ? Vehicle is a 87 k5 5.7 liter !

Sounds like you have a restriction. Turn the truck on and make sure you have enough fluid. Depress the brake pedal with the truck running with boosted pressure and with no bleeder screw. Then see what comes out?

I may have answerd my own question . So the proportion valve closed not allowing fluid to the rear how do I remedy the this problem ?

What brake bleeding procedure are you following?
Pass rear driver rear passenger driver . I know it’s tripped though because the brake light is on whithout the parking brake engaged .

I don't remember for sure, but I believe that you have to bleed the front, if it is tripped and not allowing fluid to the rear.
I think the idea is to build some pressure in the side that is shut off while making the valve move towards shutting down the opposite side. (To center it)

There is a little plunger on the end of the proportioning valve, you have to push it in order to reset it to allow fluid to the rear circuit. It is a safety feature to keep your brakes working if you were to loose a hose on one end.

You may have trouble with your disc/drum proportional valve with a disc/disc setup. They provide a residual pressure to the rear drums to keep the shoes in position for the braking action. Disc's need way less residual pressure. You can buy a factory drop in disc/disc proportioning valve to replace the stock disc/drum unit. I also think you can gut the stock valve and make it work.

Thanks guys I looked in my chilton and found what to do . Says to open bleeder in rear , key on and continually pump until light goes off . Sounds like you build up pressure and recenter the pin. If that doesn’t work it says to replace it .
