Ahh, I see. There is a very interesting story behind the classsification of 'cracker'. It comes from back in the slave days. The slaves would call the masters 'crackers', short for whip crackers. It's one of their derogatory terms for whitey. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

Got a problem with me being white? /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
Hehe
I was reading your web page about your shackle flip. My 1990 GMC F/S Jimmy's forward rear shackle mount looks like the mount that you purchased out of a 2x4.
Also, I don't know if you have read about the home made shackle flip housed in ck5's coffers, the guy tells you how to bolt up a bracket with the tank in. (Kinda tricky) /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

LOL I have pulled the gas tank so many times now I can do it blindfolded. The tank from my trail rig is currently in my daily driver (dd tank was rusted beyond repair). Before I put a new tank in the '79 I'm gonna grind off those mounts, reposition them, and bolt them in right. Hell I may even do the switch to longer springs since I don't have a driveshaft yet.

I've got a 31 gallon tank from an '85 K5 doing nothing....
