14 Bolt FF Carrier

Ok so I got my 3/4 axels yesterday (finally) and was doing a serch on here tonight and found that a 4 hole is a open and a 3 hole is a gov-lock. Well I still have not opened the cover yet to find out if it is a open or gov-lock axel. Anyways I also found that if is a gov-lock carrier that it can be replaced with an open carrier if so where can you get one and whats it cost? Thanks for any info.

any other way to tell if it is a govlok.i opened my diff and only saw spiders in there and no clutch pacs.
