So I have a 14 bolt under a van I am planning on using. I know they are wider, but how? What is different? Is it in the hub assembly or tub? Also Will it mean anything for trying to do a disc brake conversion?

thanks a ton. I searched and found they were different, but not how...

70" wide. Longer axle tubes and axles. Same hubs and brakes as single wheel.

what year is the van, i made the mistake of getting a newer 14 bolt from a 2000 or so gmc savanah. this 14 bolt has to use different disc setup, has longer axle shafts and different hubs.

i just done a disk brake conversion using curts dual caliper brackets so i can use an ebrake and they worked just fine on my van width. they are just longer tubes and shafts. and they use srw hubs
