Maybe this was brought up before, if it was please direct me to the discussion.

While I realize this would be a custom axle with hard to find parts, it would be kinda nice. Strength should be on par with the D70. And since it would need custom axle shafts, it would be a great time to upgrade to alloy shafts.

Dedenbear's inner c's are based on the 70 from what I read and their parts really aren't that expensive.

Anybody have any thoughts on this?

seems like a good idea, but one question.. why? for the money you'd dump into that, you could build a hell of a d60 that would be as strong, if not stronger, and still be able to use manufactured parts on it. just my .02

This has been brought up before and someone had tried it as the picture circulated around this board for a while. The pumpkin is huge and not offset enough to make it worth the effort IMO. If you need that much strength go for a set of rockwell's. In the end i thinnk they would be cheaper and easier to work with.

I think it was MONSTERCHEVK5 or something like that who built one.

Somebody watched this weekends episode of Extreme4x4. :rotfl:

i saw that on powerblock too...i may sound really stupid but, it almost seems too easy to cut the tubes to the length u need and weld on D70 knuckles(at correct degree) and thats it besides custom shafts.

Yea I watched it, but it only reminded me of something me and a friend talked about before. The only problem, finding the inner c's and the rest of the stuff to fit the 14 bolt.

Thanks for the link.

You would need to do something about axle seals. All front axles use seals inboard near the carrier. Not sure how you would go about installing a seal.
