I've read some pros and cons on converting a 14 bolt to a front axle. Not wanting to start a rant thread here regarding whether you should or shouldn't, just looking for any links to conversion projects or input from those that have done it.
Thanks in advance.

Hey man! What have you been up to? You sorta disappeared!

Whats the latest plans for the CC?

The CC is good. Just took it over to Coeur D'Alene to help my son out with his 86 GMC shortbed 8 lug (14FF rear) conversion.
Regarding the Rockwells, I made some initial measurements to see how much lift I'd need to put them under the V30, figured about maybe 5 inches (I was way off). I then started in on the disc brake conversion. Had the rears all mocked up with parts on the axle and had the front axle parts all drawn up. At that point I got a little more serious about the mounting of the front axle. To make a long story short, at a minimum, I was going to need more like 8 to 9 inches to be comfortable with clearance issues. While I think that's cool with the other trucks that have gone down that route, it wasn't anything I was interested in. Sold the Rocks on Craigslist. Plus I distracted myself right about then by buying a 1942 Piper J3 Cub. Since sold that too.

The only reason I'm thinking about the 14 front was just from a unique/cool factor. Let's be honest, I'm never going to break the D60 I'm already running.

Thanks for the links. Still have my phone#?

Yeah i saw some Rocks on CL a while back and wondered if they were yours.

Yeah i still have your # Dave right?

Dave is right.

I actually saw my old Rocks on Craigslist a few weeks ago. Same guy that bought them from me is/was re-selling them. Didn't look like anything had been done to them. Still had a rotor off a Chevy car bolted to the front diff with 3 bolts, plus all the u-bolts and stuff I included.
