I have a 14 bolt full float and redoing brake hardware while switching out to correct backing plates that I need for my swap. I got a hardware kit from Napa for a 78 C20 which is what my full float came out of, the new hardware kit has 2 different springs in it for the brake shoe hold down spring where the pins go through the backing plate and spring then cup with cut out is twisted to hold it in place. So which spring goes where? One is taller and has more coils but are different then what I am taking off and wanna make sure got them in right spot. Picture is attached of new springs.

tall / spring shoe only .

short / spring is for ebrake brake bar to adjuster rod to arm that does the adjusting all held on shoe with spring .

more crap to hold = shorter spring . :thumb:

cup is for adjuster arm to piviot on in shoe hole the hold down spring rod feeds threw and the short spring sits in the cut .

Just wanted to be sure I had same thoughts from similar setups but can't afford the time to mess this up or money might cost from just guessing when I can ask here! Thanks for input hopefully get them together over the 3 day weekend. Good new is did finish my 13 bolt shave tonight and happy with it.
Thanks again for always lending me a hand :thumb:
