so im finally getting around to finishing my axle went to put the hub nuts on and found out i lost the key and the lock ring. where can i get these parts. also i bought the brake lines from offroad design for the disk brakes. one is longer than the other which side do which line go?

Regard the hub nut, there's a coupla different styles. The older one as I recall is two-part, like the front, with a locking ring. Dorman sells these as #615-130 and 618-049 respectively. (Dorman is the name behind those "Help!" carded things, so most auto parts places will have 'em.)

The newer ones, my preference, has a square key to lock it and then a spring to hold it all in place. Dorman sells these too, 615-132 (ring), 615-140 (square lock), and 615-141 (snap ring.)

Can't speak to the brake lines. I'd imagine whatever fits -- you're just going from the hard line to the calipers, yeah?

mine must be the new one then. thanks for the part numbers i want to get this thing done all ready.
brake lines yeah they are just going from the t block to the calipers. I think i know but I would just like some affirmation before i put them on.

Dorman also has pretty pictures on http://dormanproducts.com/ where you can look up by part # and make sure I gave you the right #'s.

If you're going from the T, which is on the passenger side of the pumpkin, at least on my truck, the shorter line kinda has to go on that side and the longer on the driver's. No matter, they should be the same size fittings, so do whatever fits best.

I dont have the brake lines or the that came with the 14 bolt. Am I right in thinking I can use the one off my 10 bolt? I'm assuming its the same size.

I swapped in a later style 14 bolt ('97 G3500 cargo van), and I found that brake lines, e-brake cables, and the u-joint were all direct matches, size-wise. The u-joint must not always be a match, 'cause people keep swapping them. :dunno:

But you should be fine with the brakes.

I have the ORD lines. I believe the longer one goes on driver side.

Yep, that's the intention. The line from the frame down to the diff cover is offset to the passenger side of the diff cover so we make one line longer than the other because the factory hardline was that way too in most cases.
