I was prepping the spindles to install the wheel hubs on my 14 bolt rear end and saw a modest amount of pitting near the surface where the hub inner seal rides. Does anyone know if this corrosion is too far towards the surface of where the seal rides? I plan on hammering the seal into the Hub tomorrow or Friday but I am looking for anyone with knowledge about whether or not this pitting is significant or nothing to worry about

Not sure where the seal would sit exactly, but like the speedi sleeve idea + possibly turning or grinding the damaged area + making a pressed on sleeve.

This ^ national 710568 I believe is the number, mine looked worse than yours and nary a drop has leaked
I'm interested in this solution.

Just checked and the seals ORD sent me has the part number "710568" imprinted on them.

I'll run with these and get a pair for backup.

I had same issue. ORD sells a seal that the part that touches the spindle doesn't spin. The seal spins inside itself so it can have more sealing ribs and wider surface area on the part that touches the spindle. worked good for me
