If you have a true K30 14FF, be aware of the wide 3.5" shoes compared to the 3" on the 3/4 ton rears. The backing plates have a different offset between the two.

'83 on up is the split of the longer cable on the passenger side of which snakes over to the drivers side. You can simply remove the backing plates on these years and use them on the '82 and older rears.

The difference between the two cables is the older ones are a bolt on type and the newer are a press in.
