here comes the questions.
I want to weld up the gov-lock it had, should I keep all the clutches and actuatator thingys? Should I weld just the spider gears or the carrier too?
Is 5.13 to low for 37's? (350 tbi stock to a TH400 to a NP241).
Where can I find some plain lug nuts? My parts stores a out/clueless and I only see fancy packs online.
And while at autozone I picked up some cheap headers for 45 (they were miss marked, ment to be 160) they're flowtech headers, are these worth using? or should I get different headers?

The Flowtech headers "fit" I guess but they definitely rub the shackle bolts and they leak because they're made from thin metal. They're the cheapest made headers you can get.

5.13's are WAY too low for 37's with no overdrive (especially an auto without a lockup converter), at least for a truck that sees the highway. IMO 3K RPM is as high as I feel comfortable revving a small for long amount of time and with that combo you're barely over 60 mph at 3K.

So what would be a good ratio for 37s? i want it to be on the lower side, but still drivable

Is my dd but I really don't have much use of it anymore, I carpool to work and I don't go out much, my guess about 70 street 30 Trail, I only say that to be safe

what r ur future plans for this truck? 40" tires or an overdrive tranny? because gears r a bit pricey and a pain to set up, i would get gears that u would be happy with for the future,if u plan on keeping 37s then 4.56 or 4.88 would be fine. if ur going 38s or larger, i would get 5.13s or 5.38s. i have 38s with 5.13s and a 465 (1:1 final ratio) and im at 3000rpm at 66mph

Well i guess ill go with 4.88s, im gonna keep my tranny, but im going to be going through my motor soon maybe an ls swap since my friend just rolled his C6.

Deffinitly dont use 5.13s with 37s unless your stepping up to 40s in the future. I used 5.13s with my 40s and a th400 with a np205 and the low is plenty low for trails with my Sub. I also drive it on the road and its about 3k and 60ish, no VSS though otherwise known as way to high in the rpms for way to long on a BBC go with 4.88s, good for slingin tires in high and the crawl wont be downright terrible. and flowtechs are most deff cheap, they will work but they will leak, use the dead soft alum or copper gaskets and retighten often. better to go with some headers with a 3/8in flange, lot less leaking probs i like my hedmens for the simple fact they have 3/8in and the ball socket end instead of the flat flange on the collector, so you can slightly adjust to clear the crossmember and all that
