Was looking around the local Pull-A-Part and found two 14 bolts, one is a srw under a mid 1990s van, the other is a drw under I think a mid 1980s van (not sure of the year). For use under a 1988 K5 which of these would be preferable, and what is the best way to tell a ff from a sf so I make sure the srw is in fact a ff? Thanks.

full floater should be simple.... 8 bolts that hold the axle in on the center.... full floater is best as the axle can snap and the axle stays attached...the drum is bolted to the axle housing... and the axle bolts to it...

Oh, ok, so if you wanted an equally spaced front/rear track, a van width would possibly be better, you just have to watch tire clearance, and put the spring perches in the right place.

Thanks for all the info. So what is the measurement between wms on a 12 bolt in a k5? I would measure mine but Im an hour away at school.
