14 bolt ring gear tightening

Putting a detroit in my 14ff and need to torque the ring gear bolts to 120lbs but problem is with the carrier out of the axle I cannot get the bolts torqued without turning the hole thing. I might try it when the carrier is back in the axle housing. SO for now I just set my impact wrench on high and tighteneg them. WHat did you all do to get them torqued? I also tried putting a pry bar to hold the carrier but did not want to damage anything.

For small carriers I put them in a vice. For big carriers I put them in the press.

Just do it with it back into the carrier, its alot easier.
