Ok its a 6 lug out of a 2wd, and as i measured from inside of brake drum to brake drum it was around 54 inches, while i measured my 10 bolt and it was around 56- is this because the drums were bigger on this axle, or is it really narrower? will it work under my blazer after i reweld the perches or should i pass?

If its a 2wd then it came out of a 99+ truck right? If so, thats where the difference is. My six lug out of 98- is just as wide as the front axle.

its out of a pre-98 2wd, so i take it that i measured wrong, or the brake drums come in farther on this one.

If its pre 98 then it would be six lug. If its out of a 2wd, it will be 5 lug. As far as I know, chevys were NEVER 5 lug and 4wd. Measure again, width should be 68 inches or so.

it is 6 lug- where did you measure from- studs to studs? it is out of a 2wd 1500HD i beleive
